Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join a national law firm in Orange County, California. Overview

Direct Counsel is recruiting a mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney with 3–4 years of experience to join a sophisticated and growing Real Estate practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a range of commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on acquisitions and dispositions, real estate development, joint ventures, and private equity transactions .

Experience with real estate finance and hospitality matters is a plus. The successful candidate will have strong research and communication skills and the ability to independently manage small-to-mid-sized matters or significant portions of larger transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions .

• Advise clients on real estate development matters.

• Handle joint venture and private equity real estate transactions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, joint venture agreements, and other real estate documents.

• Assist with real estate financing transactions and related matters.

• Support clients involved in hospitality and other complex real estate projects .

• Manage small-to-mid-sized matters independently and take responsibility for portions of larger transactions.

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to sophisticated real estate matters.

• Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with partners and other attorneys to efficiently manage transactions.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of commercial real estate experience .

• Experience with acquisitions and dispositions, real estate development, joint ventures, and/or private equity .

• Familiarity with real estate financing and hospitality is a plus.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to manage matters efficiently and effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a sophisticated transactional practice.

• JD from an accredited law school.

• Active bar membership required.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this role is $260,000–$310,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
