HR Manager

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their client's amazing team in California. Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization serving the community throughout Santa Clara County, is seeking an HR professional who excels in employee relations, investigations, compliance, and employment law. This is a supervisory position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop the HR function while serving as a strategic partner to organizational leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop the Human Resources function and team. Serve as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices. Lead workplace investigations from intake through resolution, including employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and complex personnel issues. Partner with leadership and legal counsel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Handle unemployment claims, appeals, hearings, and other employment-related matters. Provide guidance on sensitive employee relations situations with a strong understanding of California employment law. Ensure compliance with labor regulations, reporting requirements, and organizational policies. Support talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, and workforce planning initiatives. Review and interpret employment laws and regulations to provide accurate, compliant guidance to leadership and staff. Utilize HR metrics and data to identify trends and make strategic recommendations. Work Hours Monday - Friday, 1st shift Salary and Benefits The salary for this supervisory position is $115,000 per year. Additional benefits are available and can be discussed during the interview process.
