Director, Gov't Program Compliance and Accounting - Columbia, MD

This senior leadership role sets policy direction, drives enterprise-wide enforcement, and serves as the organization's senior authority on government contract compliance and accounting matters. The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory expertise, strong cross-functional leadership skills, and a proven track record of audit success. Your tasks Own and direct overarching compliance strategy for all US government programs, ensuring full alignment with FAR/DFARS and agency-specific regulationsDesign, standardize, and enforce the corporate EVMS Integrated Performance Management Framework across all business segmentsLead the development, implementation, and enforcement of enterprise-wide compliance policies and procedures, keeping them current as regulations evolveLead the development, implementation, and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures, keeping them current as regulations evolve for global related party entitiesOwn organizational readiness for internal and external audits (CPSR, DCAA, etc.), overseeing documentation, controls, and risk mitigationServe as the primary escalation point for compliance issues, partnering with senior cross-functional leaders to resolve them and prevent recurrenceDirect continuous internal surveillance testing using DCMA EV Compliance Metrics (DECM) and data-driven analysis to proactively uncover data anomalies, baseline breaches, or calculation faultsOversee the drafting, deployment, and formal closure of corporate Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) responding to any external Corrective Action Requests (CARs)Define the baseline competency requirements and curriculum for Control Account Managers (CAMs), project schedulers, and finance analysts across the enterpriseBuild, mentor, and manage a team of compliance and accounting professionalsOther duties as assigned Your qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred12+ years of progressive experience in US government contract compliance, with significant FAR/DFARS and federal audit exposureDemonstrated success leading compliance functions and managing audit outcomes at an organizational levelPrior people-management experienceProven oversight experience with major cost and schedule integration tools such as Deltek Cobra, Primavera P6, Open Plan Professional, and EmpowerStrong executive presence and a track record advising senior leadership on compliance risk and strategyAbility to work cross functionally to accomplish organizational goals and complianceCPA, CGFM, or similar certification a plusIn order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US, have US citizenship, and be able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Security Clearance Interested? The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
