Job Title Seismic Instrumentation Specialist (Precision Electronics Specialist) Department Department of Conservation Salary $7,600.00 - $9,057.00 per Month Working Conditions Position located in Sacramento, eligible for a hybrid telework schedule: at least three days remote, up to two days in‑person at 715 P Street, MS 1803, Sacramento, CA 95814. Alternative work locations not considered. Responsibilities Apply advanced knowledge of precision electronic equipment, including accelerographic and data communications systems, to support the Earthquake Engineering Program. Conduct seismologic and data communications research; design systems, develop specifications, calibrate equipment, and perform experimentation, testing, and validation. Integrate and conduct specialized studies of technologically complex seismic systems. Minimum Requirements Passed the state examination for the Precision Electronics Specialist classification (or eligibility as a current state employee). Relevant education or experience that meets the minimum qualifications as defined in the Classification Specification. Desirable Qualifications Effective communication skills (verbal and written). Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments.
