We are seeking an in-office Senior Litigation Paralegal to support plaintiff medical malpractice and birth injury litigation from case investigation through trial preparation. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive paralegal with strong Texas civil litigation experience who can handle daily case management responsibilities and communicate effectively while swiftly moving cases toward resolution. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. This role is not eligible for remote work. Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum qualifications

Compensation: $65,000–$85,000, depending on experience. Opportunity for performance-based bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities 

• Draft pleadings/motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.

• Enter and monitor case deadlines and settings, including reviewing incoming documents for any deadlines, dates, requirements, etc.

• Liaise with expert witnesses to facilitate case review, including assembly and submission of records/materials, follow-up, scheduling, and gathering necessary documentation for disclosure.

• Request and maintain subrogation and lien information, including conducting necessary research, reviewing itemizations for accuracy and new providers, and facilitating the retrieval of updated information.

• Perform background research on clients, defendants, expert witnesses, and other parties.

• Communicate with clients, including gathering/maintaining information and documents, providing updates, and responding to ad hoc inquiries.

• Document management, including processing/review of e-service and e-filings.

• Coordinate scheduling of depositions, hearings, and other case settings, phone calls, and meetings.

Secondary Responsibilities 

• Assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial.

• Case expense processing and management.

• Monitor and save incoming mail, e-filings/e-service, and faxes.

• Provide administrative and office support as needed.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in plaintiff-side medical malpractice and/or personal injury litigation. 
• Strong command of Texas civil procedure and local court rules. 
• Proficiency with Filevine, Lead Docket, Office 365, or similar tools. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines. 
• Leadership mindset with mentoring experience.
