Job Description

The Decanting Lead is responsible for overseeing daily decanting operations on the production floor, ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and according to company quality and food safety standards. This role provides hands-on leadership and support to the decanting team, coordinates workflow, monitors production goals, and supports continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Schedule is 4/10 hour workdays starting at 5:30 AM. (Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Thursday)

· Maintain & lead the daily operations decant team to ensure adherence to production schedules, food safety protocols (SQF /GMP/HACCP), SOPs, and Policies.

· Maintain proper storage, handling & segregation of raw food product to be decanted, WIP and staged decanted raw materials.

· Ensure the correct raw food materials are decanted and supplied to production per daily schedule.

· Ability to delegate tasks, multitask, and manage team safety in a fast-paced environment.

· Ensure all products meet production specifications and quality standards

· Collaborate with the Production Managers to identify training needs of the decant team.

· Prepare each decant washing station prior to start-up. And maintain throughout production

· Decant & batch product per weight by following PO sequencing

· Maintain organization at floor level

· Communicate all inventory needs to production manager for approval (Shortages & Surplus)

· Work directly with Warehouse Management, Production Management & FSQA department for all decanting daily tasks

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· Previous experience in a produce, food manufacturing, or production environment preferred.

· Prior leadership or lead experience preferred.

· Knowledge of food safety practices and production procedures.

· Ability to effectively communicate instructions and provide direction to team members.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, refrigerated, and physically demanding environment.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

· Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.

· Ability to work in cold environments (34–45&degree;F) for the entire shift.
