Retail Service Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $17.25 - $24.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual and quarterly performance bonuses; premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager. Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute on customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy. Process all buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and notify customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Process retail customer returns and exchanges in an efficient and friendly manner, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, Image Maker and merchandising tasks, and delegate and complete them as assigned. Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule; changes or deviations are approved by a member of management, and clock‑in/out procedures comply with company policy. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verify and secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits as needed, ensure all night security lights are on, lock doors, secure the building, arm/disarm security alarms, and check and secure delivery vehicle(s) parked in the secure designated area. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Strong communication skills; Ability to obtain RSS Certification. Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts; Automotive systems and repair knowledge; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
