Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, US

A high‑growth international residential and facility services platform, backed by leading private equity investors and operating across multiple countries, is entering its most strategic expansion market: the United States. With a proven track record of executing 70–80 acquisitions annually across Europe, the company is now building a dedicated U.S. M&A function to accelerate growth across property management, facility services, and adjacent verticals. Following a recent acquisition of a US‑based property management business (~$40–45M revenue, ~400 employees), the U.S. pipeline is already overflowing. The company is hiring its first U.S. Head of M&A; a hands‑on dealmaker who can originate, evaluate, negotiate, and close founder‑led acquisitions in a high‑volume environment. This is a rare step‑up role for a strong #2 from PE, corporate development, or a roll‑up platform who’s ready to take ownership of a market, build a team, and shape a major value‑creation engine for a global platform. And the person who steps into this role will directly shape the company’s trajectory in the U.S. and its long‑term global value creation story The What: Build and manage a robust pipeline across property management, facility services, and adjacent sectors. Originate founder‑led deals through direct outreach, broker relationships, and industry networks. Lead evaluation, modeling, valuation, and investment case development. Drive deals to LOI Manage diligence across legal, finance, operations, and external advisors. Negotiate terms with entrepreneurs, management teams, bankers, and PE firms. Partner closely with U.S. operating leadership to ensure smooth onboarding and integration. Identify synergies and value‑creation opportunities across the U.S. platform. Build the U.S. M&A function from scratch, including hiring 1–2 team members within 6–12 months. Serve as the connective tissue between U.S. operations and Global leaders The Who: ~10–12 years of buy‑side experience (PE, corporate development, or high‑volume roll‑up). Proven ability to originate and close founder‑led deals. Strong financial acumen and comfort with modeling, valuation, and investment case development. Skilled negotiator with the ability to build trust quickly, from small‑business owners to institutional counterparties. Hands‑on operator with gravitas, commercial judgment, and situational awareness. Hungry, ambitious, low‑ego, and motivated by building something from the ground up.
