We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a growing organization in St. Petersburg, Florida. This position supports a centralized accounting team and plays an important role in keeping billing, payment application, and account follow-up activities accurate and on schedule. The ideal candidate brings strong invoicing experience, works independently, and is comfortable managing day-to-day receivables tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner across assigned accounts.

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with commercial customers to secure prompt payment.

• Apply incoming payments and post cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts with a high level of accuracy.

• Review account activity, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment issues through direct customer communication.

• Maintain complete accounts receivable records and support the full receivables cycle from invoice creation through collection.

• Provide responsive service to customers by answering questions related to invoices, payments, and account status.

• Partner with accounting leadership and internal team members to keep receivables processes organized and up to date.

• Assist with updates to billing or receivables workflows when needed as business processes evolve.

• At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting function.
• Proven background in invoicing, cash application, and commercial collections.
• Ability to manage the full accounts receivable process with strong attention to detail.
• Self-directed approach with the initiative to identify issues and follow through on resolutions.
• Strong communication skills for handling customer account inquiries and payment follow-up professionally.
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred.
• Comfortable working on-site in St. Petersburg, Florida, with a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
