Dentist - Per Diem

Dentist PositionThe above posted pay range is for a fully licensed Dentist. The pay range for a Limited License (eligible) Dentist is $115,518 - $173,328 annualized.As the need arises, Harbor Health seeks Dentists to join our Per Diem pool (on call as needed) at our Dental Center locations including Dorchester, Plymouth, Hyannis, and Dennis, MA. We have day, evening and some Saturday shifts available as needed at most Dental Centers.Our Dental Center locations include:Geiger Gibson Community Health Center, 250 Mt. Vernon Street, Dorchester, MAHarbor Community Health Center-Plymouth, 10 Cordage Park Circle, PlymouthHarbor Community Health Center-Hyannis, 735 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MAEllen Jones Community Dental Center, 516 Route 134 Patriot Square, Dennis, MARoleThe Dentist works within a team to provide dental care for outpatients by focusing on preventive care, oral health, and overall health. The dentist is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth and gums.ResponsibilitiesDetermines and implements effective plan of treatment for patient to includes impressions for dentures, extracting diseased teeth, repairing cavities, root canals etc.Advises and educates patient about dental health practices.Consults with the managers of other patient services to ensure coordination of services for dental treatment plan of patients.Enters all pertinent and required information into patient medical record in accordance with procedure and practice in a timely and effective manner.During emergency operations may be required to report to work or remain at work.Maintains regular and punctual attendance.Performs other related duties as assigned.RequirementsD.M.D. or D.D.S. from approved dental school or eligibility for limited licensure3 years of experience as a Dentist preferredCurrent Massachusetts License (or eligible for limited license)Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) CertificationCurrent MCSR and DEASupervisory ResponsibilitiesProvides functional supervision of the dental assistants, hygienists, students, externs, and residents as assigned and/or as a designee in the absence of the site Lead Dentist as needed.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.Harbor Health Services is an innovative, growing, mission-based organization that lives, serves and collaborates with our community members to achieve our mission to help individuals reach their full potential through access to local, affordable services that promote health. When determining actual base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, years of relevant experience, education, training, and other factors as permissible by law). As such, most offers will not be at the top of the salary range.
