Material Handler / Parts Cleaner – Full‑Time | Contract‑to‑Hire | Growth Opportunity

This role blends hands‑on parts cleaning , material handling , and shipping/receiving in a fast‑moving environment with plenty of variety. ⭐ What You’ll Do

• Receive mud‑caked, greased, and heavily used machine components straight from disassembled equipment

• Use high‑pressure washers and chemical solvent tanks to clean parts down to bare metal

• Keep the wash bay safe and organized, including wastewater and chemical disposal

• Stack, organize, and secure cleaned components on heavy‑duty pallets

• Use shrink wrap, bands, and strapping tools to stabilize parts for storage or shipment

• Move pallets using forklifts, electric walkies, and pallet jacks

• Unload incoming freight trucks and flatbeds with new or returned parts

• Load outgoing commercial shipments and ensure everything is balanced and secured

• Match physical items to packing slips and bills of lading for 100% accuracy

• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs throughout the shift

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather

• Able to stand, bend, walk, and operate equipment for 8–10 hours

• Experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or industrial cleaning

• Forklift or pallet jack experience (certification is a plus)

• Strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic

• Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and metals (steel, aluminum, etc.)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
