Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service. Salary and Schedule Details Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00-$14.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training. Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and minimum essential coverage. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule. Average weekly hours are between 13 and 15. Availability during the week before and after major holidays—including weekends—may be required. Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Your Role and Responsibilities Use Hallmark‑provided mobile devices to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department, using technology for daily tasks, communication with supervisors, reporting, feedback, and surveys. Engage with store employees, management, and customers in a professional and courteous manner; oversee the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores. Provide holiday support during and around major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, which may require additional days, extended hours, or work on the holiday itself. Participate in department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections, typically with two weeks’ advance notice and possible evenings or weekends. Support other field merchandisers as part of Hallmark’s network, assisting teammates as needed within their territories. Physical Requirements Work is physically demanding, requiring ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Daily tasks include kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and using step ladders. Basic Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English. Ability to lift, pull, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Comfortable operating a digital hand‑held device for reading and interpreting information. Access to Wi‑Fi and Internet. Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
