Supervisory Records and Information Specialist

Job Summary The incumbent will supervise a records and information management team, ensuring the Division’s records are stored, retained, retrieved, and disposed of effectively in compliance with federal laws and regulations, and responsive to the Department’s and Division’s needs. Responsibilities Provide oversight to staff engaged in records management programs. Assign, direct, and review the work of employees. Develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance. Coordinate and direct records management activities for both classified and unclassified records, including creation, maintenance, shipping/transferring, and disposition. Provide overall advice and guidance to the Division on records-related matters. Qualifications At least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑13 level in the federal service, performing duties listed in the responsibilities section. Experience in every stage of drafting and finalizing a records schedule is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
