Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Weekend Respite Case Immediate Hire Location: Manchester, NJ Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (24 hours/week) Position Type: Part-Time Weekend Respite About the Position AmeriWell Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for an individual receiving respite services in Manchester, New Jersey. The DSP will assist with daily living activities, community engagement, supervision, and ensuring the individual's health, safety, and overall well-being. Responsibilities Provide direct care and support in the individual's home and community Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed Promote independence, dignity, and person-centered care Accompany and support the individual during community outings and recreational activities Monitor health, safety, and behavioral needs Maintain accurate documentation and daily notes Communicate effectively with family members, care team members, and agency staff Follow all AmeriWell Care policies and NJ DDD requirements Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred DSP, caregiver, HHA, CNA, or related experience encouraged Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to pass background screening and complete required trainings Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer Competitive pay Supportive and responsive management team Meaningful opportunity to make a difference in someone's life Ongoing training and professional development Consistent weekend schedule #J-18808-Ljbffr
