Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient rehab assignment with inpatient coverage at a hospital-based setting in California, requiring a CA PT License and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based outpatient rehab setting with inpatient coverage responsibilities
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program required
• Active CA Physical Therapist License required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation required; inpatient experience a plus

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function
• Develops and updates patient Plans of Care (POC) based on evaluation findings and ongoing assessment
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and support staff
• Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Maintains accurate documentation including charge capture, evaluations, and EHR entries
• Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
