Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient-focused position at a smaller California facility, with a mix of inpatient and acute rehab coverage.

Details

• Smaller facility with primary focus on outpatient pediatric speech therapy coverage
• Mix of outpatient, inpatient, and acute rehab unit (ARU) evaluations and treatment
• Occasional home health responsibilities
• Weekend coverage includes adult acute rehab evaluations and treatment as needed
• Schedule is Thursday–Monday or Sunday–Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule

Requirements

• Current and active California SLP license required if applicable
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant SLP experience
• Experience with pediatric outpatient and adult acute rehab populations
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Builds rapport and communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety
• May assist with clinical supervision of SLP assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
