Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician Location: Acredale Animal Hospital – Kempsville, 1200 Lake James Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 Compensation Pay: $20 – $30 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $2,500. About the Role You will work alongside experienced veterinarians and a supportive team. Responsibilities include building client relationships, assisting with anesthetic procedures, and performing tasks within the full scope of your licensure. Responsibilities Build client relationships during technician appointments. Assist with and participate in anesthetic procedures. Utilize your full scope of licensure for patient care and lab work. Monitor anesthesia and administer treatments. Support a positive workflow and mentor newer staff. Schedule Requirements 1–2 evening shifts per week (until 8 PM). Rotating Saturday shifts. Hospital Hours Mon–Thu: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Fri–Sat: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Closed on Sundays Your Impact Provide comprehensive patient care, administer treatments, monitor anesthesia, and perform lab work. Lead and mentor staff to support efficient workflow. Serve as key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments. Contribute to maintaining high standards of the hospital environment. Qualifications Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program. Current state veterinary technician license (LVT) in good standing. Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures. Calm and efficient in fast‑paced or stressful situations. Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
