Associate Program Manager

Job Summary The Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for the role of Associate Program Manager. In this pivotal role, you will provide logistical and administrative support for the creation, coordination, and execution of programs involving both internal and external activities. Your work will focus on building and supporting community events and involvement, requiring organizational expertise, communication skills, and the ability to build relationships within diverse communities. This is a hybrid remote role, offering flexibility in work location. Some responsibilities will be completed remotely from home, while others will require your presence at the MVA office located at 1903 Meharry Blvd., Nashville, TN. Additionally, certain activities will take place at community events throughout the region. Key Duties / Tasks Coordinate and schedule complex meetings, events, and activities for MVA programs. Provide logistical support to ensure seamless execution of programs and events. Collaborate with internal teams at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and Meharry College, as well as external community partners. Assist with program planning and ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needs. Serve as a key point of contact for program participants, partners, and stakeholders. Work flexibly across remote work, office‑based administrative tasks, and community‑focused engagement activities. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem‑solving abilities with a proactive and resourceful approach. Ability to work collaboratively within a team as a contributing member. Flexibility to adapt to remote work, in‑office administrative tasks, and on‑site community‑based activities. Schedule: Monday–Friday during daytime business hours; flexibility to accommodate community needs. Preferred characteristics: Passion for community engagement and a commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships. Experience in program management, event coordination, or community‑based work is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and maintain attention to detail.
