Organic Air clients most appreciate us for our holistic, biology-based approach to tree health that is not reliant on toxic chemicals as the foundation of our treatment programs. In addition, we use specialized Air Tools to remediate soil and root-related disorders, often involving pruning of roots and soil fracturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the primary Plant Health Care Technician during the introductory training period while learning company tree-care methods and procedures.
• Assist with filling, preparing, and mixing spray trucks each morning.
• Safely manage and transport spray hoses across multiple residential and commercial properties each day.
• Apply plant health care products to trees through foliar sprays and direct-to-soil applications.
• Monitor tree and plant health and identify potential health issues or treatment needs.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper application techniques when handling plant health care products.
• Communicate professionally with clients and provide basic education regarding proper tree and plant care.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Develop the knowledge and technical skills necessary to advance into a Lead Plant Health Care Technician role.
• Work independently once properly trained, using sound judgment and critical-thinking skills to identify and address plant health concerns.
• Represent the company professionally while working at client properties.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in arboriculture, plant health care, horticulture, landscaping, or the broader green industry.
• Previous experience in arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, plant health care, or a related green-industry field is preferred .
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to learn application equipment and treatment methods.
• Ability to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and work independently.
• Excellent communication and client-interaction skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding work.
• Ability to safely handle and manage spray hoses and equipment throughout the workday.
• Experience driving large vehicles is preferred but not required .
• No CDL required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and product application guidelines.
• Willingness to learn and progress into a Lead Plant Health Care Technician position.
• Must be comfortable working primarily with organic plant health care products, with occasional use of chemical pesticides when necessary.
