Work Environment

As a PTA, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with patients in a comfortable and fully equipped clinic setting, with access to modern rehabilitation equipment and treatment modalities. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule that promotes both work-life balance and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and supervise physical therapy treatments designed by the Physical Therapist, ensuring compliance with each patient's unique care plan.
• Conduct preliminary patient evaluations, assisting in the development of effective treatment plans while obtaining necessary approvals from referring physicians.
• Perform thorough chart reviews, carefully documenting patient progress through electronic health records in accordance with organizational standards.
• Administer therapeutic interventions and modalities with a high level of safety and clinical judgment, utilizing manual therapy techniques and exercise-based protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient responses during treatment sessions, addressing any challenges and contributing valuable insights back to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients and their families on at-home exercise programs and ongoing care strategies, preparing them for a successful transition from therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a PTA will primarily involve working with patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting, focusing on those recovering from surgical interventions, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse range of individuals, from athletes to elderly patients, each with unique recovery goals and challenges. Your contributions will directly impact their recovery journey, helping our patients regain mobility, strength, and confidence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or a related field, with successful completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• A current, active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey.
• Clear and effective communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A strong ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a busy clinic environment, ensuring all patient needs are met promptly.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, demonstrating proficiency in exercise techniques, manual therapy, and rehabilitation protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong commitment to quality patient care.
• Experience using electronic health record systems for documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
