Work Environment

Working onsite at our outpatient office, the PTA will thrive in a vibrant clinic setting characterized by teamwork and proactive patient engagement. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans that are cohesive with patients' individual medical needs and therapy goals.
• Conduct evaluations under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to accurately assess patient needs and progress.
• Maintain and update patient records meticulously within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and policies.
• Instruct patients and their families about exercises and home care protocols to support their rehabilitation and recovery process during and after therapy.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress, barriers to care, and other relevant issues affecting patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions, ensuring they are performing exercises safely and effectively while promoting an environment of encouragement and motivation.
• Collaborate on clinical assessments and adaptations of treatment strategies to promote continuous improvement of patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will primarily serve clients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patients can range from athletes looking to return to their sports, to seniors aiming to regain strength and mobility after hip or knee surgeries. This role will allow the PTA to develop strong connections with patients as they witness their progress and provide ongoing encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of New Jersey.
• Proven experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• A commitment to providing empathetic and high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, specifically in an outpatient orthopedic practice.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and healthcare documentation standards.

Compensation and Benefits
