Concentra PT and Wellness Clinic is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our outpatient orthopedic team in Hillsdale, New Jersey. This full-time position involves aiding physical therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to a diverse range of patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions. Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in a hospital-based setting, which encompasses a variety of therapy environments to cater to our outpatient clientele. The clinic features state-of-the-art treatment facilities, allowing for effective therapy interventions with appropriate equipment. As a PTA, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists and multidisciplinary teams in a supportive, dynamic atmosphere. The schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with no evening or weekend shifts, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the physical therapist in implementing tailored treatment plans, delivering therapeutic interventions that align with the patients' rehabilitation objectives.
• Educate patients on the safe execution of prescribed exercises and functional activities, ensuring they understand their roles in the healing process.
• Monitor and record patients' progress meticulously during treatment sessions, ensuring safety and compliance with therapeutic goals.
• Document patient care through our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system promptly and accurately, aiding in continuity of care.
• Engage in regular communication with supervising physical therapists regarding any changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment.
• Create a positive and encouraging environment that fosters patient motivation and adherence to therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient demographic includes a wide array of individuals, from athletes recovering from sports-related injuries to older adults managing chronic orthopedic conditions. You will work one-on-one with patients, addressing their specific needs and tailoring your approach based on their unique rehabilitation journeys. Experience in treating post-surgical patients and a focus on active aging populations will be particularly beneficial in this role.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Certification in CPR/BLS.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with patients and staff.
• A genuine passion for orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, and delivering hands-on patient care.
• Ability to multitask and manage the demands of a busy outpatient setting while ensuring high-quality patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a licensed PTA, preferably in outpatient orthopedics.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (such as WebPT, NetHealth, or Fusion) to aid in efficient documentation and patient tracking.
• An interest in advanced techniques including manual therapy, performance training, and wellness programming is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of patients, including return-to-play athletes and those from active aging populations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $85,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
