Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will engage in a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate physical impairments and functional limitations.
• Designing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans based on each patient's unique needs and recovery goals.
• Utilizing a combination of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and restore mobility.
• Regularly tracking and documenting patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient recovery through an interdisciplinary approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient caseload will primarily consist of individuals undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-surgical recovery and injury rehabilitation. You will work closely with patients ranging from athletes to seniors, each with unique challenges and recovery goals. Your expertise will guide patients through complex rehabilitation exercises that empower them and foster independence.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active New Jersey physical therapy license in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical setting, particularly within orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems; experience with WebPT is preferred.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience is required, candidates with advanced certifications in specialized therapy techniques or training in sports rehabilitation will be favored. Experience with evidence-based practices and a strong commitment to continuous learning will also enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
