Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence at our modern facility in Paterson, New Jersey, from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. You will be working closely with a team of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), allowing for continuous learning and peer support. The facility is designed to provide an optimal setting for rehabilitation, with dedicated therapy spaces and resources aimed at ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions to establish relevant care plans tailored to meet individual needs.
• Manage individual patient caseloads effectively, providing care for one patient per hour to ensure quality attention and treatment.
• Implement a diverse range of treatment techniques and modalities aimed at enhancing movement capabilities and overall physical function.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and proven interventions to drive positive patient outcomes, focusing on mobility and functionality.
• Document patient progress meticulously using EMR software like WebPT, ensuring accurate record-keeping for ongoing treatment evaluations.
• Motivate and educate patients on their treatment journeys, empowering them to take ownership of their health and wellness goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to synchronize care approaches and optimize comprehensive patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess ongoing treatment effects, modifying care plans as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices by integrating fitness and wellness programs addressing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Promote alternative solutions to surgical procedures and minimize pharmacological interventions where possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele includes patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. We pride ourselves on creating individualized treatment plans that address specific conditions while fostering a supportive and encouraging rehabilitation environment. By working predominantly with patients under private health insurance, you will be in a position to deliver focused and effective care that leads to superior recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and hold a current license to practice in New Jersey.
• Maintain a clean record with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Demonstrate proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription as part of your treatment approach.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with medical professionals.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to document real-time patient care and outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, showcasing the ability to handle diverse patient cases.
• Proven therapeutic intervention strategies and methodologies that contribute to effective rehabilitation.
• Experience in developing wellness programs and patient education initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
