Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for:

• Directing comprehensive physical therapy programs aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, developing muscle function, and maintaining peak performance as outlined in patient care plans.
• Supervising the implementation of therapeutic interventions by physical therapy assistants, ensuring fidelity to treatment protocols and highest standards of care.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities through diagnostic assessments involving muscle, joint, and functional abilities tests.
• Assessing the home environment to facilitate rehabilitation, providing tailored recommendations that foster patient independence.
• Delivering prescribed physical therapy services, including manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, and utilizing modalities such as traction and massage techniques.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices and consulting with physicians on necessary modifications.
• Documenting clinical findings, treatment plans, and patients' progress in care records including OASIS reports.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and optimize patient treatment strategies.
• Educating patients and their families about their therapy programs and relevant use of therapeutic devices.
• Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the practice to enhance patient care and operational efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, the Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work predominantly with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient population may include post-operative patients, athletes needing rehabilitation, and those encountering mobility challenges due to age or health conditions. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current PT licensure in New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in an acute care or home care environment.
• Current CPR certification, demonstrating readiness to respond to emergencies.
• A valid driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
