Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our therapy team, your primary duties will include:

• Assessing patient conditions through comprehensive evaluations, including reviewing medical histories and conducting specific assessments to formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Implementing effective treatment protocols based on patient evaluations, ensuring adaptation to evolving needs and changes in health status.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously, including initial evaluations, ongoing treatment notes, and discharge summaries, to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team by consulting with other healthcare providers as necessary to modify treatment plans and address any changes in patient conditions.
• Providing guidance to patients on appropriate exercises and therapeutic techniques to maximize recovery and achieve functional goals.
• Participating in facility meetings to stay updated on policies, interdisciplinary approaches, and community initiatives focused on enhancing patient access to services.
• Staying informed of state regulations governing practice and ensuring adherence to legal standards in all aspects of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your goal will be to empower patients, helping them regain strength and improve their mobility through tailored therapeutic interventions. Your compassionate and patient-centric approach will significantly influence their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey, with a strong understanding of the state's practice acts.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, showcasing the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years in outpatient orthopedic therapy is required, preference will be given to candidates with additional experience in specialized areas such as sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, or neurology. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and tele-rehabilitation services will also be advantageous.
