Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Newark, New Jersey. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, guiding them through their rehabilitation journey to restore movement, enhance functional performance, and improve overall quality of life.

About the Organization

At Locomotion Restore, we specialize in orthopedic outpatient care, focusing on individualized treatment plans designed for each patient's unique needs. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet, equipped with advanced sports medicine resources, allowing us to deliver top-tier physical therapy services. Our committed team, composed of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, prides itself on providing high-quality, compassionate care. We predominantly serve patients with private insurance, allowing for streamlined treatment processes and better patient experiences.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Newark, NJ. The center is designed with the latest equipment and technology to support rehabilitation and recovery, creating a conducive environment for both therapists and patients. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, recognize, and fulfill the unique goals and needs of each patient, providing personalized care plans tailored to their specific conditions.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, conducting one-on-one sessions with individuals to ensure focused and effective treatment.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that focus on restore function and mobility while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, and education, to support recovery.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, documenting treatment effects and adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and share insights for comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Educate patients on wellness, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices that promote long-term health.
• Contribute to an encouraging and motivating environment, inspiring patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary population includes patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. With a focus on providing tailored treatment, physical therapists at Locomotion Restore are equipped to help patients regain strength, flexibility, and mobility. Our patient-centered approach ensures that we address not only physical recovery but also the emotional and psychological aspects of rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Possess an active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with no recorded disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired, providing applicable insights and expertise.
• Experience with treating diverse patient demographics to better relate to and assist our varied patient population.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective patient-centered rehabilitation programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
