Work Environment

This position is based in a vibrant rehabilitation center where you will work onsite alongside two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent schedule that fosters a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient objectives and Physical therapy needs within the orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Manage patient caseload effectively, aiming to complete evaluations and treatments for one patient per hour.
• Draft personalized treatment plans based on individual patient assessments, utilizing various evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Implement cost-effective interventions designed to enhance patients' mobility and decrease reliance on medications and surgical solutions.
• Document all patient interactions, therapy sessions, and progress notes accurately to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Evaluate treatment progress and modify care plans accordingly, ensuring that each patient receives optimal care tailored to their evolving needs.
• Motivate and educate patients on the importance of rehabilitation and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, including strength training, flexibility, balance, and coordination exercises.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other healthcare professionals such as orthopedic surgeons and primary care physicians, fostering a thorough, integrated approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary measures against your professional license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, enhancing your capability to deliver hands-on care and influence patient progress directly.
• Capable of developing and implementing comprehensive exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to streamline documentation processes and improve workflow.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable and can significantly enhance your application.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation techniques, including sports-specific rehabilitation and post-operative care protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
