Position Overview

Active Motion Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our collaborative team in Newark, New Jersey. About the Organization

Our facility, a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine center, is designed to provide modern and effective rehabilitation services to our patients. At Active Motion Physical Therapy Services, we pride ourselves on our patient-centered approach, focusing primarily on individuals with private medical insurance. As part of our team, you'll collaborate with two other licensed physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality, individualized care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Work Environment

The orthopedic outpatient practice is a dynamic and supportive setting where teamwork is emphasized. Our therapists utilize the latest evidence-based practices and treatment techniques within a friendly and engaging environment. You will operate onsite, engaging daily with clients in a rehabilitative facility designed to maximize recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' needs by identifying their objectives and requirements within a healthcare setting.
• Manage patient caseloads efficiently, approximately one patient per hour, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized treatment experience.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities to support patients' recovery journeys.
• Focus on delivering cost-effective interventions that enhance clients' functional capabilities while minimizing the need for pain medications or surgical options.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their therapy sessions while fostering a positive healing environment.
• Continuously assess patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary, and maintaining detailed documentation of all services provided.
• Promote overall health by incorporating fitness and wellness strategies that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic encompasses individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We emphasize a holistic approach to rehabilitation, recognizing the importance of personalized care that considers not only physical rehabilitation but also the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as WebPT to streamline patient documentation and records management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside comprehensive benefits.
