Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and movements, providing hands-on assistance and motivation during each session.
• Instruct patients on proper body mechanics and effective exercise techniques tailored to their specific needs, ensuring a safe recovery process.
• Utilize advanced modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound to deliver comprehensive therapeutic care.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking gains in range of motion and overall well-being to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
• Prepare and organize treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is cleaned and properly maintained.
• Engage in interdisciplinary communication, collaborating with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient progress and outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain adherence to ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to best practice guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse population, including seniors recovering from hip replacements, pediatric patients with developmental delays, athletes returning from injuries, and individuals overcoming neurological challenges. Your expertise in physical therapy will be paramount in customizing rehabilitation strategies that address the unique needs of each patient, helping them to regain independence and improve their daily functioning.

Qualifications

• A valid Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably with home care experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate patients through challenging rehabilitation processes.
• Proficiency in using physical therapy equipment and modalities.
