We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Saddle Mind Rehab & Wellness Center, located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Work Environment

This role is set in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, where the physical therapist will work alongside a team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The facility is designed to foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and the sharing of expertise. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance while providing essential services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their objectives, rehabilitation needs, and medical history.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that utilize a diverse array of techniques aimed at improving patient mobility and function.
• Efficiently manage a case load of one patient per hour, ensuring quality care while adhering to treatment protocols.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a strong patient-therapist relationship.
• Deliver cost-effective interventions that aim to reduce reliance on medications and avoid surgical interventions.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in a thorough and timely manner using EMR software, such as WebPT.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatments and adjust care plans as necessary to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop integrated approaches for patient care and rehabilitation.
• Promote overall wellness by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through tailored fitness programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with orthopedic outpatient clients seeking to recover from injuries or surgeries. Our patient population includes individuals of various ages and activity levels, from competitive athletes to older adults requiring rehabilitation after orthopedic procedures. The therapist will play a critical role in empowering these patients to reclaim their mobility and enhance their quality of life through customized physical therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must hold a current and valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• No prior board actions or disciplinary measures against the license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques is essential.
• Strong skills in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens tailored to patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR platforms, specifically WebPT, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
