Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and function while aiming to enhance quality of life.
• Conduct thorough initial patient evaluations using diagnostic and functional assessments to establish baselines and identify notable areas for improvement.
• Oversee and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of therapeutic techniques, ensuring adherence to the established care plan.
• Analyze patients' home environments and recommend modifications or assistive devices that promote independence and safety in daily activities.
• Administer a variety of treatment modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents like hot/cold therapy to alleviate pain and improve neuromuscular functioning.
• Regularly document patient progress, maintaining accurate clinical records including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to review and update care plans based on patient progress and ongoing assessments.
• Participate in patient case conferences, providing insights and suggestions based on your assessments to influence overall treatment strategies.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, expected outcomes, and long-term maintenance strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends, advances in physical therapy practices, and regulatory changes to enhance personal and organizational knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and those who require rehabilitation following trauma or illness. Our therapists utilize a holistic approach, working closely with each patient to develop tailored treatment plans that not only improve physical capabilities but also focus on emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of one (1) year of practical experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within an outpatient or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and strong commitment to maintaining clinical skills and knowledge.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills that foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient or private practice setting.

Compensation and Benefits
