Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Outpatient Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at VIP Physical Therapy & Wellness in West New York, New Jersey. Working alongside a team of experienced professionals, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure comprehensive patient care, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, evaluating physical conditions and determining appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Develop customized rehabilitation treatment plans focused on patient-specific goals, including increasing mobility, strength, balance, and flexibility.
• Implement and monitor treatment protocols, using a variety of modalities such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Engage in clinical teaching, providing instruction and support to physical therapy interns, students, and other staff members.
• Prepare and deliver at least one in-service presentation annually to enhance team knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with the clinic manager to initiate clinical research projects that align with your areas of expertise.
• Maintain detailed patient records and progress notes to document treatment outcomes and adjust plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on a diverse patient population primarily dealing with orthopedic issues including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will establish rapport with patients, guiding them through their recovery journey and empowering them to reach their rehabilitation goals. The emphasis on an individualized care plan allows for specific treatment modalities that enhance physical capability and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate patient interaction and team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is strongly preferred, showcasing expertise in this specialty area.
• Previous involvement in clinical education or mentorship programs is an asset.
• Experience with patient management systems and electronic medical records (EMR) platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
