Work Environment

Our Ridgefield Park office is a bustling outpatient facility where teamwork and patient interaction are at the forefront of our service delivery. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic specialists and other healthcare professionals, in an onsite setting designed for direct, hands-on patient care. Your schedule will include weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring that you are actively engaged with patients during prime treatment hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess each patient's physical condition, functional limitations, and recovery goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance physical function.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation, to support patient recovery.
• Educate patients on effective injury prevention strategies, proper movement techniques, and at-home exercise regimens to maintain progress outside of sessions.
• Collaborate with orthopedic specialists and physicians to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, discussing treatment plans and progress during case reviews.
• Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on clinical findings and feedback.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with all HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with a diverse patient population recovering from various orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including but not limited to joint replacements, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. As our patients seek to regain their independence and resume their daily activities, your role will be crucial in guiding and supporting them throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Current and active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required; candidates with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) are preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred, although new graduates with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise application, and patient education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that allow for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a significant advantage as it will enhance data management and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of various orthopedic conditions and treatments will allow for more effective patient management.
• Previous use of EHR systems contributes to a seamless workflow and improves patient care capabilities.
