Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function while adhering to established care protocols.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the proper execution of therapeutic interventions in alignment with patient care goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint function to establish a baseline for treatment and progress tracking.
• Assess the patient's home environment to identify potential barriers to rehabilitation and provide actionable recommendations to enhance patient independence.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic exercises and instruct clients on non-manual exercises and functional activities relevant to their recovery.
• Utilize various physical agents such as traction and massage to optimize treatment effectiveness.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to implement necessary adjustments.
• Document clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and promptly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and refine the overall treatment approach for clients.
• Provide education to clients and their families regarding physical therapy practices and equipment, ensuring they feel empowered in their rehabilitation process.
• Maintain timely submission of clinical documentation according to organizational policies.
• Complete ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans as appropriate based on client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will focus on a diverse group of patients with orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.

• Current and valid PT licensure in good standing within the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth practices.
• Experience in providing education and training to patients and families regarding treatment plans and rehabilitation strategies.
• Proficiency in assessment tools and rehabilitation technologies relevant to orthopedic physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually.
