Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including detailed reviews of medical history and physical assessments, to develop effective and personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's functional limitations and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, adjusting interventions as necessary in response to patient progress and changes in condition.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations while providing a clear narrative of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and outcomes, ensuring coordinated care and optimal recovery for each patient.
• Engage in regular consultations regarding patient management and modify treatment plans based on evolving healthcare guidelines and patient responses.
• Participate in facility meetings and team initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access, engagement, and overall service delivery within the outpatient setting.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by completing all required training and certifications to maintain compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Guide and support patients in understanding the therapeutic processes, providing education to empower them in their healing journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients experiencing orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clientele ranges from young athletes to mature adults, each requiring tailored interventions and rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring mobility and enhancing functional capacity.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is required.
• Active CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in evidence-based treatment approaches, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and strong communication skills that facilitate collaborative practice in a team-oriented environment.
