Position Overview

Vitality Empower Physical Therapy is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with patients to restore movement, enhance functionality, and promote overall health. You will be an integral part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while managing a caseload that allows for personalized attention to each individual's therapeutic journey.

Our state-of-the-art 5000 square foot sports medicine facility is designed to provide a supportive environment conducive to rehabilitation and recovery. We primarily serve clients who have private medical insurance, enabling us to focus on quality care without being constrained by bureaucratic demands. Our team consists of two dedicated physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all of whom share a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our patients.

Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our rehabilitation center located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Our facility is equipped with the latest in rehabilitation technologies and therapeutic equipment, providing you with the tools necessary to deliver effective treatments. As part of our team, you will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable and balanced work-life rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' goals, needs, and physical limitations.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour to ensure individualized care.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that utilize a wide range of therapeutic techniques.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to enhance client mobility and reduce discomfort.
• Create and oversee exercise programs designed to optimize each patient's recovery and improve overall wellness.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress thoroughly in our EMR system, with a particular focus on WebPT.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as needed based on patient feedback and progress.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications aimed at promoting strength, flexibility, balance, and overall health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions. This includes patients undergoing rehabilitation after surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal function. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in understanding the nuances of orthopedic principles, focusing on facilitating recovery while fostering independence in self-care practices and mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must possess a valid New Jersey state license as a Physical Therapist.
• An impeccable professional record with no disciplinary actions on the license.
• Proven experience in manual therapy techniques is essential.
• Ability to effectively design and execute individualized exercise protocols.
• Adept at using EMR systems, with specific experience in WebPT preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience in developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
