Position Overview

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Orthopedic Physical Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Paterson, New Jersey. This full-time role emphasizes patient-centered care, helping individuals of all ages regain mobility and enhance their quality of life. In your capacity as a Physical Therapist, you will not only diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal conditions but also develop customized rehabilitation plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role located within our clinic, allowing close interaction with patients in a welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere. The scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. As part of our facility, you will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, creating a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional therapy services and healing experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients to identify their rehabilitation goals and effectively address their unique requirements.
• Manage a steady caseload, treating one patient per hour to ensure focused attention and sustained engagement.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient therapy to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate both traditional and progressive rehabilitation techniques.
• Administer cost-effective therapies aimed at improving patients' range of motion and mobility, while reducing reliance on pharmaceuticals or invasive surgeries.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness programs that motivate patients, enhancing their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well-being.
• Use evidence-based practices to deliver customized interventions that maximize recovery and positive health outcomes.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting services rendered to align with organizational protocols.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Advocate for a healthy lifestyle in patients, facilitating education on injury prevention and wellness strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses on treating a diverse range of patients, primarily those seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic concerns. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. We aim to empower each patient on their healing journey, providing them with tools and strategies that not only aid recovery but also foster long-term health and wellness.

Qualifications

• An earned Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, alongside a valid NJ license as a Physical Therapist.
• A pristine professional record, free from board or disciplinary actions, demonstrating commitment to ethical practice.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy and clinical skills, providing clients with specialized care.
• Exceptional ability to design and implement effective exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to facilitate efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred, ideally within a private practice environment.
• Demonstrated success in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based interventions and rehabilitation strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
