Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring optimal function for patients recovering from orthopedic conditions.
• Directly oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they effectively implement the established plan of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities using hands-on assessments and standardized tests, including muscle strength, joint mobility, and functional abilities.
• Assess the patients' home environment and provide actionable recommendations that enhance their potential for independent living.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, engage patients in therapeutic exercises, and offer guidance for non-manual functional activities tailored to their needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress through clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in case conferences with the interdisciplinary team, contributing your insights to develop and adjust comprehensive care strategies tailored to each patient.
• Educate patients and their families on using physical therapy modalities and devices, ensuring they understand their ongoing treatment strategies.
• Maintain timely documentation related to clinical assessments and routine reports as mandated by facility policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation settings.
• A valid CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training in manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation, or experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic medical records and telemedicine platforms is also advantageous as we strive for efficiency in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
