Work Environment

Located in a bustling community, our rehabilitation center is designed to meet the diverse needs of our patient population. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent work-life balance. Our collaborative environment consists of a close-knit team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), promoting a supportive atmosphere for sharing knowledge and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs, goals, and treatment potential.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically serving one patient per hour to ensure adequate attention and quality of care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy and exercise programs tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring continuous improvement in mobility and functionality.
• Educate patients about their conditions, empowering them with knowledge that enables them to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Document patient care activities comprehensively and accurately in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize comprehensive care and treatment outcomes.
• Promote preventive health measures by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and physical fitness.
• Maintain open communication with patients regarding their treatment progress and foster a motivating atmosphere as they work towards their goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus includes orthopedic patients who are often in recovery from sports injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient has unique circumstances and treatment goals, making your role crucial in tailoring therapeutic solutions that not only provide relief but also promote a full return to everyday activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory, with a clean record free of disciplinary actions.
• Experience in orthopedic outpatient environments is highly preferred.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, for patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques.
• Experience designing and implementing customized exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• A strong background in patient education, particularly in the promotion of lifestyle changes that enhance long-term health outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
