Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical capabilities and conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities that promote healing.
• Educate patients on their conditions, recovery processes, and preventive care strategies to enhance their independence and foster long-term health.
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes comprehensively while adapting treatment plans as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers, to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population, ranging from post-surgical orthopedic patients to those with chronic pain or mobility issues. The clinic places a strong emphasis on patient education, empowering individuals to take an active role in their rehabilitation process. With an average patient load of two patients per hour, therapists can provide thorough, personalized attention to each individual.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, maintained in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the use of therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to maintain accurate patient documentation.
• A clean professional record, free from disciplinary or board actions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy, such as sports medicine or orthopedic manual therapy.
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating empathy and encouragement to patients.

Compensation and Benefits
