Work Environment

The physical therapist will operate primarily at our outpatient office in Newark, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs based on physician referrals and patient needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient limitations and functional goals, establishing a path towards recovery.
• Utilize evidence-based practices when providing therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and recovery strategies.
• Deliver therapeutic services with a focus on patient safety and effective outcomes, applying various treatment modalities as necessary.
• Provide education to patients and their caregivers, ensuring understanding of treatment plans and promoting adherence to home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for patient assessments and treatment sessions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Meet established utilization goals while contributing to the organizational objectives and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on orthopedic patient cases. You will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals dealing with sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain, and other orthopedic concerns. By applying best practices in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and patient education, you will play a vital role in helping patients attain their functional goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred) from an accredited program.
• Active and valid state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Ability to create and maintain positive relationships within the community and foster collaboration within the team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Specialized training or certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation or sports medicine.
• Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities, including Dry Needling or Manual Therapy, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience. Our compensation package includes performance-based incentives, comprehensive health insurance, and a 401(k) plan with profit-sharing options.
