Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of incoming patients, evaluating their physical condition, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs through hands-on assessments and standardized tools.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function and reducing pain through a variety of techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and home exercise programs to ensure continued improvement outside clinical sessions.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive clinical documentation, tracking patient progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare providers, to create a seamless continuum of care for our patients.
• Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to maximize their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will encounter a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young athletes to older adults navigating post-operative rehabilitation, requiring specialized attention and tailored treatment modalities to suit their specific conditions.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise prescription, and patient education.
• Competence in maintaining detailed electronic health records (EHR) for accurate documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate meaningful relationships with patients and engage effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings with a focus on orthopedic cases is highly preferred, although candidates with relevant clinical rotations or internships are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in various treatment modalities and evidence-based practices aimed at maximizing patient outcomes.
• A familiarity with telehealth platforms is a plus, providing flexibility for patient interaction.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary in the range of $110,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
