Work Environment

This position is based onsite within our modern rehabilitation center, strategically located in Newark, NJ. As part of a dynamic team, you will work alongside two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all committed to maintaining the highest standards of therapeutic care. Our workweek runs from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that allows ample time for patient interaction and care planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and establish individualized treatment goals and plans.
• Effectively manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each patient receives focused care and attention.
• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy interventions including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises tailored to orthopedic conditions.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at improving patients' mobility while minimizing reliance on medications or surgical options.
• Continuously progress patient treatment plans based on periodic evaluations of treatment effectiveness and progress monitoring.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and progress notes in accordance with best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Encourage patients in their rehabilitation journey, providing motivation and education on improving their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize the delivery of patient care.

Our physical therapy practice serves a diverse clientele primarily focused on orthopedic rehabilitation, dealing with post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and mobility enhancement. Patients typically carry private insurance plans, allowing for a more individualized and focused therapeutic approach. Your expertise will directly impact each patient's quality of life, guiding them through tailored treatment plans that enhance their physical capabilities and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A proven track record of success with no instances of board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• In-depth knowledge and demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise regimen development.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient environment, enhancing your ability to manage complex patient cases.
• A collaborative spirit with strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and team members alike.
• Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to suit individual patient needs, demonstrating flexibility in your therapeutic approach.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package.
