Work Environment

The role offers an onsite work environment within our outpatient office in Newark, New Jersey. Here, you will engage with a diverse patient population while collaborating with a cohesive team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art treatment tools and technology, enabling you to provide the highest standard of care. You will work Monday through Friday, maintaining a steady schedule of 40-hour shifts tailored to support our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring each plan aligns with the individual's specific conditions and recovery goals.
• Administer therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices within a variety of specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Uphold a high standard of customer service, fostering a supportive and professional interaction with each patient to enhance their treatment experience.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with fellow therapists, physicians, and healthcare team members to optimize patient care and maximize positive outcomes.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic care in the clinic as well as provide home therapy visits as needed to accommodate patient circumstances.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment protocols, exercises, and wellness strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals and support business objectives through effective treatment and patient relationship management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will include a wide array of patients seeking orthopedic rehabilitation, ranging from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management. You will have the chance to work with diverse age groups and varying levels of physical fitness, ensuring that each treatment plan is customized to address their unique needs and goals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Must hold a valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting, particularly related to orthopedic care.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
• A commitment to building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, contributing to a positive clinic atmosphere.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in the field is required, experience in specialized therapy areas, such as sports rehabilitation or pediatric therapy, is considered an asset. Experience integrating telehealth into patient care can also be beneficial as we expand our services.

Compensation and Benefits
