Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories and performing specific assessments to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentations, and relevant clinical guidelines, to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, including initial evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Provide educational resources and advice to patients and their families to empower them in their rehabilitation process.
• Engage in collaborative consultations with other healthcare professionals, recognizing when to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress or changes in condition.
• Attend facility meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to treat a diverse demographic, allowing you to apply your clinical skills across various cases—including post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and preventative care interventions. Your personalized approach will facilitate each patient's path to recovery, helping them achieve their functional goals and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on patient education and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
