Your work environment will be an outpatient office located in Metuchen, where you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized therapy treatment plans that prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore muscular function.
• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests and assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint abilities.
• Administering physical therapy interventions in alignment with physician-prescribed plans, including manual therapies, exercise, and the use of physical agents.
• Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the effective execution of treatment plans and compliance with industry standards.
• Regularly observing and documenting clients' progress and communicating timely updates to physicians and case managers regarding their treatment and responses.
• Evaluating home environments for rehabilitation potential and advising on modifications that may enhance independence.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive patient care and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Preparing and maintaining detailed clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes.
• Providing education and resources to clients and their families regarding physical therapy practices and equipment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitation following surgical interventions, acute injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on improving mobility, reducing discomfort, and guiding clients toward functional independence through personalized care strategies that reflect their specific needs and goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. While a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred, relevant experience is also valued.
• A current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient or orthopedic care.
• A current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence and the patient care mission.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
