Fun and Moving Physical Therapy, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Newark, New Jersey. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality home care services, where you will evaluate and treat patients of all ages recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic conditions. Work Environment

This position is purely onsite, focusing on home care therapy, which allows for personal interactions with patients in their familiar environments. Our therapists receive support from a collaborative team, which encourages sharing of knowledge and resources. You will have the flexibility to choose your working hours, operating Monday through Friday, to best accommodate your lifestyle and your patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions in their homes, identifying areas for improvement and assistance.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate exercise, stretching techniques, hands-on therapy, and other modalities to address specific patient needs.

• Utilize various tools and methodologies, including therapeutic exercises and modern rehabilitation equipment, to facilitate patient recovery and mobility improvements.

• Document and track patient progress meticulously, ensuring that all treatments, responses, and therapeutic interventions are recorded accurately for future evaluations.

• Continuously assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback, always aiming to redefine therapeutic goals.

• Assist patients in selecting and fitting necessary assistive devices, providing guidance for self-care activities and ambulation.

• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on home exercise plans, assistive devices, safety measures, and the appropriate use of physical therapy techniques.

• Maintain professional development by attending workshops, engaging in peer networking, and staying current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The population we serve includes children, adults, and seniors undergoing rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, and sports injuries. Our approach is tailored to help each patient regain functional independence, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state license for Physical Therapy in New Jersey.

• Demonstrated ability in both verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and team members.

• Proficiency in using various rehabilitation technologies and electronic documentation systems.

• A flexible mindset and ability to adapt to various patient situations with ease.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not necessarily required, we value any relevant internships or clinical rotations that demonstrate your capability in handling orthopedic conditions.

• Experience in a home care setting is a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
