Work Environment

The rehabilitation center is designed to promote healing and recovery, equipped with the latest technology and therapeutic resources. As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite, engaging directly with patients in an environment that aims to support their recovery journeys. You will typically work 40 hours per week, with variable weekend hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their physical therapy needs.
• Designing personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique functional limitations and disabilities.
• Providing hands-on therapy while educating patients and their families on the treatment process and self-management strategies.
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of treatments and progress according to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Leading community outreach efforts and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff to improve departmental efficiency and patient care outcomes.
• Staying current with clinical best practices through continuous education and professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve at our Avenel rehabilitation center vary widely in age and functional capability, including post-operative individuals, those recovering from injuries, and patients with chronic conditions. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Competency in computer systems for managing patient records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with background knowledge in orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, or geriatric care will be favored. Experience working within interdisciplinary teams and knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be advantageous.
