Work Environment

As a Licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist at PhysioSpace, you will primarily work in the home care setting, ensuring patients receive thorough and attentive therapy in the comfort of their own environment. Each day presents unique challenges and opportunities to connect with diverse patient populations, which enhances the work experience. Your schedule will typically run from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a routine while also allowing flexibility to adapt to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and need for orthopedic intervention.
• Develop, implement, and continuously modify individualized treatment plans aiming for optimal mobility restoration and pain alleviation.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, targeted exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, tailored to each patient's recovery journey.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and optimal techniques for day-to-day activities to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Build collaborative relationships with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and allied health professionals, ensuring seamless integration of care for patients.
• Document and track patient progress meticulously in compliance with organizational and HIPAA standards, adjusting treatment strategies based on data and outcomes.
• Maintain a well-organized caseload and ensure timely communication with interdisciplinary teams regarding any patient changes or concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population you will work with primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We are dedicated to providing evidence-based practices that address the unique needs of each patient, enhancing their recovery experience from pre-operative preparation through post-operative rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy settings is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription is a must.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, empathize with patients, and engage in active listening.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems to document patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care settings or outpatient facilities is highly desirable.
• Relevant clinical experiences during internships or residencies in orthopedic environments will be considered.
• Hands-on experience in patient education and rehabilitation program development will be an asset.

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
